Introducing Grant Piggott

I am an experienced leader with over 30 years across major events, business and local government, known for my consistent approach, financial discipline and strong community focus. 

As a Chartered Accountant and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, I have built my career on sound governance, clear decision making and long-term planning.

I have held executive and board-level roles, including senior management positions at the Adelaide Showground, where I oversaw one of South Australia’s most significant venues and event portfolios, as well as the commercial operations of the iconic Royal Adelaide Show.

My History

Grant, St Morris Reserve 

Since 2010, I have served as an Elected Member in local government, including 12 years with the City of Burnside and my current role as Ward Councillor for West Norwood and Kent Town within the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. My experience spans Development Assessment Panels, Risk and Audit Committees and regional boards, giving me a clear understanding of how council decisions can positively impact everyday community life.

I am a resident in Kent Town, where I live with my wife, Alexandra. Together we have three adult children and valued connections to our community. I am a strong advocate for the City, spending much of my recreational time locally, and supporting local businesses within the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.
